Shunde Expo opens in China

The 12th China Shunde International Exposition for Household Electrical Appliances (Shunde Expo) opened today unveiling a cascade of products and services showcased by 447 companies sprawled cross 30,000 square meters of exhibition space. With intense promotion efforts and a strong activity lineup, organizers are expecting to pull in 25,000 domestic and international visitors this year.

Featuring six dedicated zones - Selections, Gas Appliances, Kitchen Appliances, Bathroom Appliances, and Accessories and Components - spanning the entire vertical industry chain, Shunde Expo is the largest and most influential event on the home appliance industry calendar in China and the whole of Asia.

Apart from hardware, visitors can expect a slew of related services from industrial design to testing and certification and industry media.

The show boasts the participation of renowned home appliance and component makers including Midea, Hisense Kelon,, Panasonic, Macro, Vanward, Galanz, Royalstar, MQ, TCL, Rongsheng, Canbo, Hengye, USATON, Xinbao, Zhongshan Hannover, Guangdong Shenzhou, Heavy Power and KSS (both from Taiwan). Staking booth spaces in the Selections hall are also first-timers such as Wanlida and Aichen from China and SBOK from Germany.

In a bid to refine show offerings, organizers are understood to have relocated the Accessories and Components zone (Hall 4) to between Hall 2 and Hall 3. This move is expected to be welcomed by exhibitors and visitors alike with the increase in visibility and accessibility.

Activities on the sidelines also look set to impress.

Shunde Expo will be seeing the gathering of top domestic kitchen and bathroom appliance agents and retailers today at the second China Home Appliances Annual Marketing Conference, Summit and Dealers’ Meeting hosted in partnership with Modern Household Appliances magazine.

Over the next two days, sourcing events organized respectively by GlobalMarket and HC360.com will see international and domestic buyer delegations sniffing out the latest products and best deals at the show.

The seminar program, centering on marketing issues and the emergence of e-Commerce, will provide new perspectives and explore the overall development strategies of the future home appliance market.

Organizers are also said to be zooming in on boosting the quality of buyers and widening marketing channels by heavily targeting promotion efforts at stores, dealers and agents in 143 second-tier cities across 27 provinces in China and tying up with influential Chinese trade media including those from Jinan, Shijiazhuang, Xian and Harbin.

Shunde Expo runs today through Saturday at the Shunde Exhibition Centre.
